You are invited to Broadway Dreams, an exhilarating night of music supporting Main Stage Community Theatre’s developing educational programs and exciting new sponsorship program, supporting the highly anticipated 2025 season! A fundraiser held at Bluffton's newest event venue, the elegant 119 Persimmon Street, this evening promises to be a show-stopping night of entertainment, community, and giving back!

An Evening to Remember

At 6:00 PM, the doors will open for a pre-show social hour with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres (served by some familiar, young faces from the stage!) as you mingle and take in the beautiful atmosphere of this stunning, new event space.

At 7:00 PM, prepare to be wowed by performances from Broadway stars Steve Blanchard and Meredith Ingelsby, along with the always-popular Evolution Big Band – Bluffton’s hometown all-star band featuring top jazz musicians from across the Lowcountry. To cap the night off, some of our local, young performers will join the stage, creating a true one-of-a-kind blend of Broadway magic, big band energy, and a glimpse into the future of Broadway!

This year, we take a leap, expanding our programs to reach the needs and requests of our community, as we begin offering professional, Broadway training through our camps, and upcoming classes and workshops. With your help, we’ll continue to deliver the magic of live performances right here in Bluffton, while giving young performers a place to hone their craft and truly build their Broadway Dreams.

Steve Blanchard

Steve Blanchard was the longest-running “Beast” in the history of “Beauty and the Beast on Broadway” (see photo below), portraying the character for over eight years. He has appeared on Broadway in “The Three Musketeers”, “A Christmas Carol”, and as “Lancelot in Camelot”, opposite Robert Goulet. On television, Steve can be seen in “The Other Two,” “Tommy”, “New Amsterdam”, “Prodigal Son”, “House of Cards”, “Madam Secretary,” “The Good Fight”, “Law and Order,” “Third Watch”, and “Ed”. National Tours include “The Little Mermaid”, “Phantom of the Opera”,“ Newsies”, and more.

Meredith Inglesby

Meredith Inglesby has performed in four Disney Theatrical productions; both on Broadway and in National Tours. She made her Broadway debut as the French Maid turned Feather Duster, Babette, in “Beauty and the Beast”, followed by a member of the original Broadway cast of “The Little Mermaid”. With her husband, Steve Blanchard, she has toured in “Newsies”, “The Little Mermaid”, “The Little House on the Prairie”, and many others.

We’re thrilled to have the always-popular Evolution Big Band performing alongside our visiting Broadway stars for this special night. Bluffton’s hometown all-star band, Evolution Big Band, features 17 of the top jazz musicians from across the Lowcountry, all dedicated to keeping the timeless energy of big band music alive and thriving. Their masterful performances have made them a beloved fixture in the local music scene, and they’re sure to bring an electrifying atmosphere to our event.
