Auditions for the Fall 2024 production of Jekyll & Hyde, the Musical

We’re excited to announce auditions for our upcoming production of Jekyll & Hyde, the Musical! Set to take the stage this September at Seahawk Cultural Center, Hilton Head High School, this thrilling musical promises to captivate audiences with its unforgettable characters and powerful songs.

Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella, this musical adaptation by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse has enthralled audiences around the world with its gripping story and haunting score. Now, it's your chance to be part of the magic.

Auditions will be held on June 25th and 26th, so mark your calendars and reserve your rehearsal time now. We welcome performers from high school age (14) to adult. This show is rated PG-13.

A Letter from the Director

Dear Actors and Performers,

I am thrilled to announce the auditions for ‘Jekyll & Hyde the Musical’. This rendition of the classic tale will take on a modern edge, incorporating elements not traditionally seen in the show.

Jekyll & Hyde is a gripping tale of duality, following the story of Dr. Henry Jekyll, a brilliant scientist who discovers a way to separate the good and evil within himself. As he delves deeper into his experiment, he unleashes his dark alter ego, Edward Hyde, leading to a series of tragic events.

In this production, we aim to capture the mysterious and haunting nature of the story, infusing it with modern elements reminiscent of Victorian Goth rock. We encourage all ethnicities to audition. The only thing we’re looking for is talented individuals, both adults and teenagers ages 14 and over, to bring these complex characters to life on stage. Please note this show is rated PG-13.

Auditions will be held on June 25 and 26 at Seaquins Ballroom beside Tanger 1 in Bluffton. Please prepare a 32-bar cut of a song that showcases your abilities, and be prepared to read from the script. Headshots and resumes are appreciated, but not required.

When are Auditions?

Auditions will be held at Seaquins Ballroom in Bluffton near Tanger 1.

Tuesday, June 25 - 6 pm to 8 pm 
Wednesday, June 26 - 6 pm to 8 pm

Callbacks - as needed and communicated by Creative Team. 

Receiving a callback does not guarantee you received a role in the show nor does it mean you are not cast. It simply means we would like to see more in order to make the best casting decision.

Rehearsals - Second week of July and scheduled by Creative Team.

Audition Information: All actors, please prepare a 32-bar (about a minute) of a song that showcases your vocal abilities AND be prepared to read from the script. 

When is the actual show?

Performances will be held at Seahawk Cultural Center, Hilton Head High School September 12 through 15 and September 19 through 22 with a friends and family preview on September 11.
