From Main Street to Main Stage

New Name + New Home for All to Enjoy

A Message from Cinda Seamon
Chairman of the Board, Main Stage Community Theatre

As many of you know, during our 20+ year history we called many locations “home.” From our start at Dunnagan’s Alley to Main Street to New Orleans Road to Seahawk Cultural Center, we have always managed to adapt and accept the challenges we encountered along the way. Our dedication to our area youth is what has been the inspiration to carry this mission forward.

About two years ago, we were presented with the conceptual idea and the opportunity to become a part of a performing arts center in the heart of Bluffton. As we stood at the bottom of the mountain looking up, the goal appeared seemingly unattainable but we remained hopeful that we could take one step at a time toward making this dream a reality. And now, here we are.

Our New Home

Our agreement with The Live Oak Performing Arts Center (LOPAC) provides the Main Stage Community Theatre with a home for the next 30 years and beyond. However, the greater purpose of this facility is to serve our entire surrounding community. LOPAC will be available to vocal groups, dance troupes, school presentations, adult theatre groups, regional acts, music concerts… it will truly reflect the artistic heartbeat of Bluffton. ONE HOME… for all of us.

We cannot do this alone… by coming together as a community, we can build this new “home” for all to enjoy. Please consider giving… no matter how big or small, every dollar helps us get closer to when we sit in our new theatre and celebrate what we have all built collectively.

Our New Name

From Main Street to Main Stage. After 20+ years of local theatre performances as Main Street Youth Theatre, we are excited to announce our new name, Main Stage Community Theatre. Our new name allows us to expand our reach beyond just the youth and better convey the diversity of all of our performances and programs.

Here’s to a beautiful bright future for the arts in the Lowcountry… thank you for being a part of it!
